Francisco M. Bautista Foundation, Inc.: Paving Ways To Achieve The Filipino Dream

Quality education is the ultimate Filipino Dream. We strongly believe that education is a right, a basic necessity, and a fundamental step to having a successful future. This is why parents try their best to send their children to prominent private schools that provide quality education.

It is however a sad reality that not everyone has the financial capacity to keep their children in school. It is not only because of the tuition fees but more due to the daily expenses (including the baon and other school requirements) that make it difficult for children of less fortunate families to remain in school until college. In response to this societal need, the St. Peter Group through the Francisco M. Bautista Foundation Inc., helps to send more children to school and address their educational needs through financial assistance. It aims to support economically challenged but academically deserving students finish their college education.

Formed by Ma’am Florita “Del” Bautista Vitangcol on November 26, 1996, FMBFI was named after the Founder of St. Peter Group, Francisco “Tatay” M. Bautista who believed in the value of education in reaching one’s dreams.

The FMBFI scholarship is open to graduating high school students who belong to the top 5% of their graduating class and is recommended by the school principal, preferably from Quezon City Public schools. Children of SPG employees and sales agents as well as church seminarians who are nominated by their respective Bishops are also eligible to apply for the scholarship program. Applicants must undergo a special screening and qualifying examination before admission to the scholarship program.

Upon admission to the program, FMBFI scholars are required to perform well in school and maintain high grades to receive partial or full scholarship. Full Scholars must maintain a general average of 2.0 or 87 to 98% while Partial Scholars must maintain a general average of 2.50 or 84 to 86%. Full Scholars receive an allowance of P10,000.00 per semester while Partial Scholars receive P5,000.00.

Since 2001, the FMBFI has already produced 240 graduates. FMBFI continues to partner with the nation in producing an educated, disciplined and well trained labor force who are our seeds of hope for a brighter future for all Filipinos.

Congratulations to the following 2015 FMBFI graduates!
