Hand in hand with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and in celebration of the Fire Prevention Month, St. Peter Chapels has started to conduct Fire Drills in each and every St. Peter Chapel nationwide. The Chapel Operations Team under AVP Rex Rafael has since organized, coordinated and completed 169 fire drills since March 2019. 

On top of compliance with BFP rules and requirements on Fire Safety, this ongoing nationwide fire drill program for St. Peter Chapels aims to prepare every St. Peterian for all possibilities that may occur in case of fire. It aims to equip our Chapel Personnel with the necessary skills to protect life and property during a fire emergency. It provides basic knowledge on handling emergency situations such as giving first-aid procedures and medical rescues. It is a precautionary program that ensures the safety of our employees, clients, and property by emphasizing to our staff the importance of being aware of the fire-detection and firefighting equipment of the chapel and the chapel’s fire evacuation plan. 

As a DeathCare Service Company, our services are crucial in times of disaster so we must be equipped with skills to be able to extend the necessary aid and assistance not just to St. Peterians but also to others during an emergency. After all, our battle cry is ‘Kahit Saan, Kahit Kailan, St. Peter Maaasahan!’, right?

Currently, 2 branches of St. Peter Chapels in Cebu City will conduct their fire drills this coming July 17 and 24, 2019.
